Cuisine

Zanzibar Cuisine

Zanzibar cuisine is a feast of flavours, aromas, and colours shaped by Arab and African influences. From local dishes such as cassava or ugali to fresh fish and seafood from the Indian Ocean, it offers a culinary experience that is both rich and memorable.

When trying local street food, a little caution is advisable, as unfamiliar bacterial flora may occasionally cause stomach problems.

If you would like to know where and what to eat, ask the manager at Clove Island – we will be delighted to recommend the best local spots.
